Grace really gets her own High Society

Advantages: A good happy musical, a family film, funny.
Disadvantages: maybe slightlty dated, but still fun

During the filming of High Society Grace Kelly got engaged to Prince Rainier of Monaco and the ring she wore in the film was actually her own newly acquired engagement ring. When she showed her ring to the cast she referred to it as 'sweet', from then on she was teased daily about her 'sweet little ring'. The filming of High Society was completed in March and Grace Kelly left immediately after filming for Monaco where she married Prince Rainier on 19th April 1956. The studios fast tracked the movie to get it into the cinemas to take advantage of the free publicity provided by the wedding. High Society

Advantages: The characters, the music and the script
Disadvantages: None

High Society needs to be seen even if its just for the timeless 'what a swell party' scene with the legends that are Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby. It is not often these two greats sing together "we sing so rare." The great characters are my favourite element of the film, the music comes second and the script which includes some great lines comes third, for instance "shut up you fool" (Louis Calhern with a hangover talking to a bird singing in a tree.) High society is by far my favourite musical as I watched it over and over again as a kid showing that it is pure family entertainment. From Sinatra's singing to Grace Kelly's elegance and back to Bing Crosby's one-liners it is a must see for all. ...

A poor show from Apple

Advantages: Small and attaches to clothing
Disadvantages: Lack of functions

recognised by the computer immediately and all was well again. Both the kids love their Shuffles, but I am not particularly impressed. The sound quality is no better than their previous mp3 players, and my daughter had a lovely player that had a display which let you know what you were listening to, and it had a graphic equaliser (just one of the preset ones that let you change from rock to pop to classical etc) as well as a lot of other little bits and pieces on it. Why she wants to go from that to one where there?s no display and no control over the music apart from the volume is quite beyond me. I can understand that they?re good for joggers or cyclists as they clip onto your clothes, but since neither of them are great joggers I think it?s a poor example of an mp3 player. ...
