The debut for the Devonish trio was released in 1999 and could be classed as one of the best debuts by a band in years. It fuses experimental rock with screaming and painful vocals. If this was review was written around the time of the release, I'd say what for them, their gonna be huge - since they've already headline Glasto and broke the states, I can't really write that.
The album is a great cocktail of angst, energetic and rip curling rock tunes, "Showbiz", "Fillip" and "Uno" whilst at the same time "i hate this and i'll love you" shows the mornful and genuis side of Bellamy's song writing, guitar playing and voxing vocals.
Buy it and see, you won't be disappointed...then buy the rest - Muse get even more experimental, gothic and operatic as the years go on
