Advantages: All his great tracks on one album. Disadvantages: None
...So Paul has finally got around to properly showcasing his solo Beatles material. Here's the good news...for those of you who never want to hear the Frog Song ever again...the tracks that killed Macca's reputation are for the most part jettisoned off this release - subtitled Hits and History.
I've heard a sampler and the tracks all sound fresh and much much better sounding than the versions currently available on CD. I think they might have been processed rather than remixed, but they do sound excellent.
So what's on here? There are a handful of tracks each from McCartney and Ram - easily Paul's best 2 solo albums with many tracks to rival anything from his Beatles days.

Advantages: A musical tour of a hugely overlooked and misunderstood talent, who has an ability to adapt a wide range of musical styles and influences into his work without it sounding at all hokey. The sleeve notes/interview are also extremely valuable. Disadvantages: Only tells half the story, and anything since 1988 is obviously not featured

Advantages: Some Classic Tracks, Lots of Music Disadvantages: Some Poor Tracks

There are also different mixes of classic tunes to give a different perspective on them. There are sixty-three tracks, that's why there has to be three separate CD's.
The box and cover is fantastic, as are most of Ministry of Sounds compilation releases. It is kept very simple, just the classic Ministry of Sound emblem and the name of the album appear on the box. The track listing appears on the back in red, pink and black lettering. This is very neatly done but the font may be too small for some people to read. The design on the separate CD's and their cases is even more simple. This is definetly a plus side of the Minstry.
