Advantages: Innovative, an album full of strong tracks at a very reasonable price. Disadvantages: A little repetitive- they tend to have a signature sound which they stick to.
Disturbed are a band who have only received a partial amount of the recognition that they deserve. This is their debut album and arguably their strongest, most captivating release. In front man David Draiman they have one of the most talented vocalists around in music today and thoroughly deserve to be the ones to carry forward the nu-metal flag.
Their sound is heavy and in your face- they produce songs which you quite simply have to take notice of. Vocalist Draiman screams over the pulsating powerful guitar riffs and then soars into memorable melodic choruses which will leave the listener mesmorised.
"Voices" is an anthem in the making with its powerful melody and lyrics. "Down with the Sickness" was featured on a horror movie soundtrack and it is quite easy to see why as it sets in with its eerie and sinister mood and roaring ...
Advantages: Lots of play Disadvantages: Looks dated
Basically, Syndicate puts you in charge of a squad of Cyborgs -
biomechanically modified soldiers with *serious* attitude problems.
Your job is to "relieve" the different countires of the World from
the tyrannical machinations of the Enemy Syndicates (Boooh!!). This is
usually achieved by killing all the Enemies present in that region,
but can be something as simple (Hah! Yeah...) as kidnapping someone,
or assassinating a leader, or stealing some weaponry. The choice of
mission types is varied - you have a limited kind of decision as to
what to do next, although the eventual aim is to complete (conquer,
dominate, and maintain control of...) each country.
Overall, this game is offers a fantastic, often frenetic, always fun
blend of out-and-out glorified shoot'em up violence, tactical
planning, and the need for cool ...
Advantages: Exciting, good special effects, good cast. Disadvantages: A little weak in the plot department
Well I just couldn’t resist it, I had to do another film opinion.
I recently purchased a VHS copy of Virus.
After viewing I decided to check and see if there was listing for it here on Ciao.
Happily there was which means that I don’t have to submit one, and then wait three weeks for it to be listed.
I read another members opinion on the film and was very confused.
The member ‘Caroline Site’ had given Virus a hefty four stars and then progressed to slag off the movie in all her glory, calling it very disappointing. She then ended her op by clicking YES in the recommend to potential buyers column.
I don’t mind people having different views on things but you either like something or you don’t. (Sigh)
Anyway, on with my one-sided opinion.
THE FILM:
VIRUS cert 18
