Advantages: It's The Who Disadvantages: It's not one of their best
...and competent musical performances. Apart from ‘You Better, You Bet’ there are none that are immediately memorable.
The album cover was noted for its four portraits each of the four members of the band. Artists included David Hockney, Clive Barker and Patrick Caulfield.
1. You Better You Bet ****
A jangling lead with harmonic voices leads into this rocker - well known from Who concert tours. Daltrey is in fine voice. Kenny Jones has also found his place behind the drum kit. This song continues to be performed (Pete describes it as The Who’s last hit!) today.
2. Don’t Let Go The Coat. *****
A Pete Townshend song with an arrangement reminiscent of several tracks on his solo ‘Empty Glass’ album. Gentle rocking beat with a pleasant melody. Roger leads the vocal here but it is interesting to hear Pete’s alternative rendition (Scoop 2)

Advantages: A great rock album from Queen's drummer Disadvantages: A few weak songs
...An amazing debut solo album written and performed entirely by Roger Taylor, the drummer of world famous rock band Queen. A great start with No Violins, a classic rock song followed by the 1970s single Future management and Good Times are Now. My Country I & II is my favourite track on the album and is great to listen to after a bad day at work! Although there are one or two weak tracks, like Fun In Space, the album is consistent and very enjoyable to listen to.
After listening to all four of Roger Taylor's albums, I think this one has to be the best. A completely different to sound to most of Queen's music, this album is refreshing to listen to and Roger's vocals are great!
I would definately recommend this album to any Queen or Roger Taylor fans, or anyone interested in trying some of his solo work....

Advantages: Some catchy tunes thats easy on the ears! Disadvantages: It's been done before... and better!
...I can't believe it has been ten years, and admittedly since leaving boyzone he has come a long way. He has found his preffered musical styling in covers of country ballads, like when you say nothing at all (not sure who sang the original but was covered by Union Station) the long goodbye (Brooks and Dunn) if tomorrow never comes (Garth Brooks) we've got tonight (KennyRogers) she believes in me (also our Kenny) and now the beautiful I hope you dance (leanne womack). At least he's covering some decent stuff and not ruining it for us. I would like to see Mr Keating doing some of his own stuff as he's not all that bad at writing songs and could possibly help himself teaming up with some other noteworthy artists as he did recently with the beautiful Leann Rimes....
