Advantages: A great diversity of famous works Disadvantages: Not everything is perfect
I am a huge fan of classical music, with a collection soon breaking the 700 marker. But where did it all begin? Well right here. When I got my first CD player, I played my parents CDs until making my first CD purchase. I stumbled along a 2-CD collection called "Simply the Bestclassical Anthems." Honestly, I had not the slightest clue about what music al the names on the back contained. But there were so many interesting pieces there so that I immediately decided to get it. And I have not regretted the buy. Unlike many other collections, this one features many top flight recordings of some of the most popular classical music. Some of them are still holding their own in the mass of my collection. It was also extremely useful for me in expanding my collection.

Well where do i begin...
This is simply the best console ever, ever invented.
Now I am going to be completely bias as my first console was the good old NES and since then I have had every single Nintendo Console.
Now I waited patiently for the release of the Nintendo Wii but i got a bit eager and bought the Xbox 360. Now the Xbox 360 is an amazing bit of kit and the graphics are intence, I honestly thought nothing would compare. I started hearing things about the Wii, like the graphics were no real upgrade from the GameCube (which was the case). So my loyalty towards Nintendo was slowly declining as i have always stayed loyal to them. Before the release I started seeing footage of the sweeping controller which would fundamentally control the game... surely this could not be true.. and surely this was far too ahead of its game ...

Advantages: Good intro, great pieces Disadvantages: Extracts, some favourites missing
classical music sounds like. It's some of the oldest music of our history, or that music that was recorded at least, and as such, thumping dance beats this is not!
'Simply The BestClassical Anthems' is what I would call an 'introductory CD'. That is, it serves as an introduction to classical music before we move on to more specific purchases. This is exactly the reason I bought it – I looked at the track listing and decided it had pretty much every track I wanted on it! I've know got a couple of other classical CDs, including 'The Planets' by Holst that everyone seems to love.
