Sarah Nixey began her music career as a third of the dark, yet brilliant, Black Box Recorder. Not commercial enough to achieve lots of chart success, they were content with making good music and receiving huge suport from their fan base. However they did score a top20 hit with their single 'The Facts of life', a clever song which told of children growing up, and all the things they would have to face on their journey towards adulthood. I struggle ... ...explanation i can give is that it is a mixture of rock and pop, and that it has a dark edge to the lyrics.
Sarah has taken these influences with her into her solo album after the break up of the band. Her music also retains the dark elements, however this album contains a lot more sing-along tunes that you will find to be in head after listening to it.
