I first fell in love with Rutters music when I was 14 years old, and a choirgirl with St Peters Choir, Nottingham. We sang at a wedding, and one particular piece of music from the service, Gaelic Blessing, with the music compused by John Rutter, really stood out for me as being soulful, calming, and truly uplifting. Unlike much of the dreary music which seems to have been written by pious god-fearing types in search of a bump up the ladder to heaven, his music was just, purely and simply, inspiring.
After the wedding, I looked out for some more of his music, and fell completely in love with the style of it.

We wanted to stay somewhere in central London that was value for money, and found this brilliant hotel for only £69 per night. We booked directly with the hotel itself, and while the system can be a little frustrating the transaction went through smoothly. This was in December 2008, so we didn't expect any decent hotels so close to Christmas to be so cheap. While this hotel is a little out of the way of main attractions it is close to the Tower of London, and to Tower Bridge and easily accessible by bus and tube. On arriving by tube, we found the hotel was alittle bit tricky to find, and were saved only by the fact that by boyfriend's phone has sat-nav!
On arriving we were greeted by friendly and efficeint staff. The entrance to the hotel was modern and swish, befitting a four star hotel with marble and stainless tell everywhere ...

the higher the rank you will be. In the book the first thing that comes up is PinPin is having a test and the family are quite nervous as they know that PinPin has a weak bladder and that will put them down in the tests.
As the story unfolds, Kestrel walks out of school to discover Aramath to try and save their world from the evil and dreaded Zars. The Zras have taken over their world and no one at all likes them. If they succeed in their task, then what will result is that the Wind Singer will sing again, which is where the title comes from.
Writer, William Nicholson, has captured the story magnificently, and I am not giving away the ending. That is for you, as a reader, to discover.
