Singles A's And B's - Nazareth

Advantages: Classics , loud, good to dance and sing to , rock
Disadvantages: Probably too old fashioned today

...takes us back to Nazareth's usual beat and style. It is still a slow track but more of a sing along type of track. Now I know I have probably not described Nazareth well to anyone who has never heard them. If you know the band well suffice to say these CD's have many of their best tracks on. For the uninitiated this band have released a fair few albums and singles in their day. Nazareth will no doubt have limited appeal these days. However if you fancy listening to a blast from the past go for it. If you like rock which is not too aggressive but has great rifts this should appeal to you. In it's own way this CD is a classic of it's day. Strange how in my case it's now a sing and clean along CD for someone who is a grannies age. How times change. ...I am BIG fan of nazareth i love there music there something very distintive about his voice, i saw thema few years ago doing a unplugged gig in ourlocal pub that was great wehn they can pull that off you knaw they can sing and are good yeh they beean around a while but i think some of the old ones are classicals like rainbow stargazer that song still gives me bumps if you have not heard nazareth i suggets you give them a listern everyone will know the song love hurts the only problem i have is deciding wghich of the disc to play first , Disc: 1 1. Advantages: The best Nazareth album in years
Disadvantages: none I can think of

...I almost fell off my chair when I heard that my fellow Scottish rock veterans Nazareth had a new album out. I knew they had been touring hard for the last few years but this is the first new album in nearly 10 years, and it's release celebrates the bands 40th, yes 40th anniversary, and I can honestly say I've been there with them for 35 of those 40, since I was a wee 11 year old and first heard them on my portable radio.... ah the memories! So, after all those years what do the band sound like? The most important part of the band was Dan McCafferty's very gravelly and whisky soaked voice. Suffice to say that proud instrument is still in fine fettle, and he can belt them out like he did at half his current age (he's well past 60 now!).
