...This is the hardest thing i'm going to be reviewing for quite some time so i'm going to keep it simple. The Singles collection contains ten disks. Nine released singles and one unreleased. In total there are 44 songs. Many of which are bonus tracks and don't appear on albums. I'm going to list the songs in sections of which single they are on and write a bit about each single to save you reading a 50 000 word review. Gone with the Sin 1. Gone with the Sin (Radio edit) 2. Gone with the Sin (O.D Version) 3. For You (Accoustic Version) 4. Bury me Deep inside Your Heart (Live) 5. Gone with the Sin (Album version) The highlight of this album is the Radio edit of "Gone with the Sin". I think that it would be the album version but i'v heard it a lot on the album. ...repeated, circular symbols, from broken plates to garage door openers to saying ?bless you? when someone sneezes. ?I was just, er, nowhere near your neighbourhood.? The final piece to the Singles puzzle has to be the music. The film is a hymn to grunge era Seattle and it doesn?t spare the cameos: Eddie Vedder, Soundgarden?s Chris Cornell, Alice In Chains performing sets in the club. Crowe doesn?t overuse the inclusion of his great love, but he doesn?t waste an opportunity to slip in the perfect song, topping and tailing the film with songs by Paul Westerberg, dropping in a whole range of tunes in between: Jane?s Addiction, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden? ...Suede, a band who helped kick off the Britpop phenomenon of the mid 90s are today easily forgotten. This collection of all 21 of their singles from 5 albums serves as a timely reminder of their pop genius. It also shows their shortcomings. WHY THEY WERE GREAT When Suede first appeared on the scene in the mid 90s it is easy to see why they would have been a breath of fresh air to the British music industry. There was something refreshingly unique about their sound.
