of Gus Elen, Arthur Askey, Marie Lloyd, Dan Leno, Gracie Fields, Charles Colbourne (his performance of Two Lovely Black Eyes, probably the only political musichall comedy song ever!) is a real joy to watch and hear, even though when it was recorded when he was already a very old man.
George Laybourne was famous for the song Champagne Charlie. Incidentally, there is footage of Tommy Trinder portraying Laybourne singing this song in a role in a film.
There is also film of other stars, and audio recordings of others, such as Albert Chevalier, famed for his moving song, My Old Dutch.
It has no extras, runs for 75 minutes and even if you do not have an interest in musichall, I think you will like this DVD.

no theme tune at the start of each one, nor is there any ending credits.
This is a real shame, my favourite bit was always the amazingly up-beat and admittely catchy theme tune. I can never help but sing along. However they decided to cut it for some reason. And I'm not happy, I have to go the menu selector and run from the start each time I want my theme tune hit. Also the end credits have been removed - this also sucks as the special guests that they have in the odd episode goes now, unknown. I also like to know who does the voices for each puppet as it's intersting to find out some are done almost all by one person.
As previously mentioned, the dvd only contains 2 episodes from the first fraggle rock series. This is Volume one, and the first to be brought out in order for us fraggle rock lovers to be able to build thier collection ...

Many places in America must be contenders for the title 'The Home of Country' but for a countrymusic fan going to the Hall of fame is like going home.
There are the most amazing displays of artifacts, interactive music listening stations and a celebrity voiced audio tour to guide you through the history of Country from its beginnings to the present day.
A word of warning about the later - it's well worth the money but if, as I tried to, you go from listening point to listening point, diligently punching in the numbers and trying to take it all in you'll only make yourself tired and frustrated. Take the advice of Vince Gill (who introduces you to the tour) and pick and choose which elements you listen to as you pass through the building.
Amazingly, the galleries face onto the workspace for the archivisits at the museum ...
