Six Wheels On My Wagon - Fluke

Advantages: Great, great tracks and Ronan's beautiful voice
Disadvantages: Are you joking?!

...Was Boyzone's excellent first album, A Different Beat, a complete fluke? Well, Said And Done presented an opportunity to find out. From the album's second track, the excellent album 'Coming Home Now', you're hooked. Their version of the old Osmonds classic, 'Love Me For A Reason', is as good as the original, and the cover of Cat Stevens' 'Father And Son' is actually better than the original. Other tracks not released as singles are also memorable: the beautiful 'Key to My Life' and 'Believe in Me'. So, 'When All's Said And Done', this album is really just 'So Good' - I can't recommend it more highly.... Read review

...When I bought this album, I must admit it was an impulse buy which was based on me searching for another band. However, For the six months that I have had this album, it has consistently been in my most listened list. I think thats what is so good about this album; It is completely listenable. The way that there is a genre change almost every song is not uncomfortable but actually just adds to how easy this album is to listen to; it does not feel samey in anyway. Most people will hear of Nightmare of You due to some of the members' earlier project, Glassjaw. I feel it very important to say that this album is completely different from Glassjaw. In fact I think what adds to the idea of just why Nightmare of You are so good is the fact that they have come from the alternative rock genre without the need to be emo. However, you can tell... Advantages: Vibeful, pulsing, banging techno
Disadvantages: Not if you don't like electronica :)

...Thumping, pulsing and free flowing, Wipeout 2097: The Soundtrack is a collection of big names (along with some you may well not have heard of) with tracks ranging from drum 'n' bass, ambient through to frenetic hyper dance, all grouped together under the heading "electronica". Confused? I thought you might be, you poor little chart-fed things, you... If you really don't like electronic music, techno et al, I can't exactly say you'll enjoy this :P But for the rest of you, a high voltage dance experience awaits... My favourite track: "Atom Bomb" by Fluke..a dark, pulsating stylish thriller, also comes armed with a great vibe.... Read review
