Advantages: The better tracks outweigh the average ones
Disadvantages: Not many but some fillers

For what this cd is worth its good value for money, some little gems on this disc. Sometimes you buy soundtracks to find little known tracks that will never be released you can nod along to, Blue Streak has quite a few of these and i was well pleased with this purchase. Only seen the film once but rate the soundtrack higher Girls Best Friend - Jay Z. A simple layed beat by Swizz Beats opens up the album with Jay Z hitting all the right notes, kind of. Single released with video, not his best but not a bad track Criminal Mind - Tyrese & Heavy D. Good track, catchy chorus. A good up tempo follow up to the Jay Z track Damn - So Plush & Ja Rule. Tune. Great track. Production by Darkchild hits the right spots, Ja Rule early raps leads you up the garden path and into a chorus filled with simple lyrics and sweet voices. Theres something ...

2007: New Orleans is recovering & worth visiting!

Advantages: Still the most beautiful city in the US
Disadvantages: Hurricane Katrina

In typical New Orleans fashion, Bourbon Street was one of the first areas of the city to get electricity back, and the first thing they did was to sell drinks to the rescue workers. It's also popular for tourists to book what are locally called "disaster tours" where they drive through the most devastated parts of the area: the Lower Ninth Ward, Gentilly, Lakeside, New Orleans East. and Saint Bernard Parish. Ghoulish as it sounds, it's both chilling and fascinating to travel through the hardest hit areas. Every time I go to New Orleans, I take a drive through various parts to see how things are coming along. Strange as it may sound, people don't generally mind having folks do the tourist thing in the hard-hit areas -- after all, the people of New Orleans WANT the outside world to see what they've gone ...

New Orleans

Advantages: Friendly people, relaxed atmosphere. Be prepared to party, and party hard!
Disadvantages: Keep away from the tacky and overpriced tourist area.

My visit to New Orleans was pretty atypical, myself and a friend hired an aircraft and flew ourselves there from Georgia. For any pilots reading this, the trip was a good one, flying IFR and using Houston Centre for Flight Following and a Radar Service. being typically American aviation, the service was excellent and efficient, and despite being two semi-lost Brits in a single engined aircraft we never had the feeling that they were giving us anything but their friendly, polite best. New Orleans Lake Front Airfield is a controlled airfield about eight miles out from the city centre and has two parallel runways that extend into the Mississippi, undershoot and you're swimming.
