Advantages: Great rock sound Disadvantages: only 2 albums
...Slash's Snakepit -
After Guns N' Roses Slash needed somewhere to exercise his musical talent, so after doing live shows he came up with Slash's Snakepit to make an album. "Its Five O'Clock Somewhere" was produced, a great selection of hard and fast rock tracks, with, as expected, great guitar.
Into 2000 and a new Snakepit lineup was created. "Ain't Life Grand" was released, and the Snakepit went on tour. Ain't Life Grand was possibly one of the best rock albums of 2000, combining Slash's great guitar with an excellent band, each member highly talented.
Touring a new guitarist came in: Keri Kelli, Keri made a great addition to the band (to replace Ryan Roxie), live they put on a great show, and have been touring/supporting AC/DC.
Slash, as always is a pleasure to watch, and a Snakepit show is well worth going to.

Advantages: A top class album Disadvantages: Neglect of other CDs!
...The Beautiful South are simply a brilliant band, and “Carry On Up The Charts” is a celebration of their talent, humour and unique sound.
Frequently played on radio stations everywhere their songs are noticeably different as they are a world apart from most chart songs lyrically. You know what you hear normally, man loves woman, woman loves man, man hurt by woman, woman hurt by man. Anything and everything to do with love.
Contrast this with “Song for Whoever”, which so wonderfully mocks every other love song out there. “I love you from the bottom of my pencil case”, a cutting slash at the numerous songwriters who make money from bitter personal experiences.
“36D”, a witty and strikingly accurate critique of models who take their clothes off. “Prettiest Eyes”, a telling tale of growing old. Of course love has to get a mention, “Let...
