Through all my life I have heard people grumble and slag of music of this type and that thinking that they know it all and that they are the master of the music industry saying that they only like one type of music and anything other is not worth listening to. Well I am sorry but those people I feel are wrong as music is all in taste and everyone tastes change over time and know and again you might find yourself liking a song that you usually would not, however there is nothing wrong with this and you should not be ashamed of this.
I know some people are probably saying what has this got to do with the Eminem CD however it actually has a lot as this is the type of music I am talking about. I however happen to love rap although I am sure not many people do, but thanks to Eminem that has changed. He has been able to bring a new generation of rap lovers into the world with his catchy tunes and lyrics. People who
usually don’t listen to rap find themselves humming along to ‘My Name Is’.
Why do people however insist that they still do not like Eminem just because he is RNB and the type of music they usually listen to and the answer is simple, they are scared. People are scared of change and because of this they isolate themselves from the world, trying to keep themselves from doing something different, as it scares them. This I feel is wrong as everyone should have something different in there lives otherwise you find yourself becoming boring and not a nice person to be around, and I know I will have a lot of opposition about this option but I am sorry this is just the way I feel.
Eminem has been able to bring himself up from the gutters to become one of the best rappers of our time, even through the odds of him being white. Eminem has been through god knows how much through his life and I respect and admire him through all that he has been through and still comes up on top with a brill music career and an attitude which is positive.
Yea so what if his lyrics are not full of love and unreality, if you really want to listen to things like dreams and themes, which will never come true, then why don't you go and listen to Britney Spears or Boyzone. Rap is not supposed to be sweet and innocent it shows the dark side in man and is a way of expressing yourself without violence and I am sorry but I would rather see someone swear and curse and say what ever they like in a rap song rather then with a gun.
This album is both inspirational and full of good songs that you can sing along to while you are getting ready, if you don't like it far enough but don't try and talk about something that you have no idea about.
I also feel that this album is one of the best rap albums I have heard in a long time, most rappers talk about cops and f***king people all the time, but Slim Shady does not do that, he talks about real issues that people face everyday, this is one of the realest albums that I have ever heard from a rapper.
About Slim Shady: A creation of Dr. Dre, rapper Eminem was born Marshall Mathers in Kansas City, spending most of his impoverished childhood moving back and forth between his hometown and the city of Detroit. He was first attracted to rap as a teen, and Eminem began performing at age 14, later becoming known as a member of the Motor City duo Soul Intent. He made his solo debut in 1996 with the independent release Infinite, soon followed by the Slim Shady EP; both records made a huge splash in the hip-hop underground, earning notice not only for Eminem's rapping style but also for his skin colour.
Music: The music some of the most original and best lyrics that I have ever heard come out of a rappers mouth, the songs are both original and full of meaning. All you have to do is listen to the words and you can see that a lot of thought had gone into to them. I would have to say that 97' Bonnie and Clyde would have to be the best as it is both funny and a good tune, that will get stuck in your head. There is also the song 'Slim Shady' which everyone was humming for a few months with the fames lines 'My Name is, My Name is' there is also Brain Damaged which is a very funny rap about when he used to get beaten up when he was a kid also Magic Mushrooms about him giving too many Magic Mushrooms to a girl. All of the songs on here are funny and all have a catchy tone, which you will be humming for weeks.
Overall the music is full of great lyrics, which you can jump about and get rid of all your anger with, or just sit back and chill and listen to them.

His music is okay, but I can't stand the guy, how he has treated his family. I am fed up of hearing about his behaviour, alleged drug taking during concert, how he treated his mum. It's the worst sort of publicity

You've made some good points here, and argued the case well.
I'm not sure that I would say that Eminem has a positive attitude - but you can't argue
with his single-minded approach to music.
