I've now seen Slumdog Millionaire twice, and both times I enjoyed seeing it. I think the soundtrack really makes the film. It sent shivers down my spine while I watched it, and as a lover of music, it must have been good to do that to me.

"O Saya" , the first track, is a blend of great bass, lyrics, and vocals. It really does have the feel of typical bollywood music, but with a twist (that is M.I.A.) which really does make it outstanding (and this can be said for the entire album). I don't think this track is the best on the album as it can give you a headache if you listen to it too much as it has alot of percussion.
"Riots" did not really stand out for me, as it is one of the backing tracks and not an actual song you can listen to all the time. This is just my opinion, but you can expect this as most of the songs in the album are more like scores than part of a soundtrack (and A.R. Rahman is a composer so it doesn't really surprise me)
"Mausam & Escape" Is one of my favourites. Indian instruments are beautifully used in this track. I recommend turning your headphones up really loud when you listen to this.
So! Paper Planes!!! What can I say? You either love it or you hate it, and I personally love it. It has a "feel-good" aura about it and made me smile while I watched the film. I love the fact that a British artist has been used in a soundtrack composed by an Indian man. It shows how diverse the soundtrack is, and how great the film is. Being a British Indian myself, I loved being able to be proud of two worlds, and as I said before, hearing this song really made me feel good. Paper Planes has been a hit all over the world so this may be your favourite song of the soundtrack, it is definitely one of mine anyway!
The Paper Planes remix is also one of my faves! It is fused with Indian music, and makes you smile just as Paper Planes does! I can't really describe this track, as you have to know what is happening in the scene, and I don't want to spoil it for anyone.
"Ringa Ringa", - I liked the fact that it has a lot of bass in it, and it sounded amazing at the cinema. I'm predicting that it may be a hit in India.

I'm going to skip the next tracks and go straight onto "Gangsta Blues". This was ALSO one of my favourites of the whole album. I loved the bass and again, it sounded outstanding at the cinema. It synced with the scene really well, and everytime there was a change of picture, you could hear the beat against it.

I think "Jai Ho", the last track on the album will also be a hit. I know most of them are my favourites, but this track really is my favourite of the whole album. The lyrics are simply beautiful and is a lovely bollywood song. I think it really finishes the film off in the best way it could have,

A.R. Rahman has created another masterpiece :D
