Advantages: rich in symbolism, giving a good insight into the zietgeist of the time Disadvantages: slow paced and often dull, Crusoe is often hard to sympathise with
Daniel Defoe's Robinson Crusoe, depicts an 18th century trader gripped by a wanderlust who finds himself shipwrecked on a tropical island where he is forced to cultivate hidden survival skills, re-evaluating his own values in the process. The story is told retrospectively by Crusoe and written in a style which is extremely dry and thorough, and much of it is very tedious to read through.
Crusoe busies himself not just with the business of survival but with technological and economic advancement and the pursuit of luxury, all of which is documented exhaustively. The reader is subjected to endless painstaking descriptions of Crusoe's trial and error attempts to bake clay pots, breed goats and sow corn, interspersed with jaunts across the deserted island as Crusoe does his best to stave off loneliness and boredom. Advantages: simple operation inbuilt safety camera detection comprehensive coverage Disadvantages: mounting suction cup prone to lose grip on bumpy roads
The TomTom one xl is in my opinion the best navigation aid in it,s price range. Further I would with no hesitation say. it gives systems out there that cost £3000 or more a run for their money. Having previously owned the TomTom go. which I found to be of great usefullness . This improved and updated device satisfactoraly adresses any slight niggles the TomTom gomay have had. I found the route calculation speed to be fast The device also has many extremely useful gadgets and applications. A particularly handy application is the inbuilt income generating cameras detection [pardon me I meant to say safety cameras]. the device is also capable of calculating a route around traffic congestion and accidents, particularly useful for those of us regularly using the M25. ...
Advantages: No added preservatives, sweeteners or artifical colours Disadvantages: Price and sweetness
it
The squash in the bottle is a bright red/pink colour and smells very sweet, these both dilute when you add water (they recommend 1 part squash to 6 part water).
To be honest I can?t really taste either strawberry or apple but it does taste nice. I?m drinking it while writing the review and trying to think what it does taste like but all I can say is it?s quite fruity, berryish, in flavour and also a bit sweet and because it?s been kept in the fridge it is chilled. Talking about the sweetness I have had a quick look at the daily guideline bit on the bottle and it does state a very high 21% of sugar for a 250ml serving, but that would mean drinking nearly half the bottle in a day, but I guess you could if you were thirsty.
I have enjoyed this bottle of squash but not as much as some of the other flavours I buy, like Robinsons ...
