Advantages: Good tunes, bit of experimentation Disadvantages: A lot of standard Kelly songs, experimentation doesn't always work!!
...THREE: Tryin’ To Get A Number (featuring Nelly)
“I got a lot of cash and I’m willing to spend it all”
When this opened with Nelly’s trademark “Ooowee” I smiled, I like Nelly’s rhythmic, laidback music, and this song doesn’t disappoint, it has that cool, BBQ-like electronic beat keeping the track together, and Nelly doesn’t disappoint with his voice, however R. Kelly seems to be trying to imitate Nelly which I just find strange, not so keen on. Lyrically the song is about getting a woman’s number and just acting like players (bet you would have never guessed that from the title!!) as I find with many of Nelly’s songs the lyrics aren’t exactly mind-blowing, mainly just average, it is about the delivery rather than meaning.

...∆Who is Kelly Rowland∆
Kelly Rowland began fame as the 2nd singer of Destiny’s Child alongside Beyonce Knowles and Michelle Williams. In 2002, Kelly Rowland released her first solo single Dilemma with rapper Nelly, which sat at number 1 in the UK for more than 12 weeks. Her second solo single was ‘Stole’. I loved this song but it only made it as far as number 2 in the charts. Just after releasing ‘Stole’ Kelly released her debut solo album, ‘Simply Deep’, which went to number 1 in the UK. Advantages: Lots of variety, great vocals, Just fabb!! Disadvantages: Nothing!!
...This is Kelly Rowlands 2nd solo artist album and she is sounding better than ever before.I bought this album as just a impulse buy really, but I am definatly pleased with my buy. Throughout the album there is some really catchy songs and some amazing beats. Every song is really good and has its own induviduality. Every track also seems to have a lot of meaning which makes listening even more interesting.
First track- Like This
This is defiantly the best track on the whole album and a great opener. It has the most amazing beat and even though I have heard it about 100 times I'm still not board of it!! Eve and Kelly sound great together and I hope they do more work together in the future. I dont think I would have bought this album if i hadn't heard this track before.
Track 2-Comeback
Has a great begining, and some interesting lyrics...
