...friends with Mike Wazowski and the pair always manage to generate the most power. A fellow employee Randall is jealous of their success and Mike and Sulley catch him one night creepy round the factory and messing about with children's doors. To cut a long story short a small very cute child called Boo ( named by Sulley who becomes very attached) enters the monsters world via her door which sets alarm bells ringing when the monsters find out because they fear for their safety. Mike and Sulley on the over hand become very attached to her and do anything in their power to help her return home through her own door. The film in my opinion is excellent. I think this is Pixar's best film. I love the characters. It is such a well put together film and the whole story is brilliant . The animation looks so real. I really like the character Sulley... Advantages: Powerful acting, thought-provoking subject
Disadvantages: Violent, disturbing, inaccurate and flat script at places

...the atmosphere in which two desperate and lost souls trying to grab at their diminishing choices while only one is them is actually aware of it. There isn't much happening in terms of character or plot development, the events cascade rather rapidly and bring blow after blow to the hasty ending. It's certainly not for the faint hearted to watch, some of the more violent and graphic ones made me cringe with dismay. I did cry at the end, while the most emotionally charged moments of the movie were played out. Conclusion I do not feel that having prior knowledge of the plot would make watching the movie any less intense. The reason for that is the events are portrayed with a bias, namely from Aileen's point of view and not e.g from the victims' family or the press who obviously did their best to portray her as a monster. Advantages: good Oscar win acting

..."Monster" starts with Aileen informing God that she is doing her last $5, and that if God doesn't guide her right, she'll spend it on ending her life. She walks into what happens to be a lesbian bar and meets the 18-year-old Selby, who has been sent to live with Florida relatives and sort herself out with lesbianism. Aileen had no lesbian experience and her life is the bottom of anything living, as being a sex worker* with no taste for sex at all. Selby's own sexuality functions essentially as a way to shock her parents, left on the devises with her need to be just desired. Soon enough, sex and moral issue, becomes unimportant compared to watching television and daydreaming private soap opera in cheap roadside motels. Aileen is the protector and provider. And her experience of love with Selby brings a brand new perspective to her... Read review
