This festive offering from Hanson has been a Christmas favourite of mine ever since its December 1997 release. I am fussy about the Christmas songs I listen to, but this CD really seems to capture the holiday spirit, and there is a beautiful mix of tracks. It starts off with a cover of the groovy "Merry Christmas Baby" and includes traditional covers like "Little Saint Nick", "Run Rudolph Run", "O Holy Night", "Rocking Arouns The Christmas Tree" and "White Christmas" alongside original tracks. The most memorable of the new offerings are the completely and utterly gorgeous "Christmas Time" and the very funky "Everybody Knows The Claus", both penned by the boys themselves during the autumn of 1997. Other stunners include the achingly sweet "At Christmas", the gorgeous "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home" and Zac's upbeat solo "What Christmas Means To Me". Snowed In is just all the thoughts and feelings of Christmas tied up in a big bow and delivered to your stereo, and for that reason I urge you to get a copy before Christmas. Because the true holiday spirit that comes through in these songs is exactly "What Christmas Means To Me".
