Advantages: Classic album shocasing the best of 2pac Disadvantages: A few weak tracks, which should not have been included
...Greatesthits albums are usually not considered as classics nor generally do they define the pinnacle of an artist's career. However when it comes to 2pac's greatesthits there is an exception.
Why is there an exception, well it can be put down to 2 major reasons. Firstly he was in the mid 90's the most famous rapper. Although his fame did not reach the heights as the likes of Eminem or Jay-Z today, he was still nevertheless reasonably famous and an exceptionally talented rapper. Secondly and perhaps most importantly though was the tragic fact that he had died just shortly before the release of this album. 2pac had been shot dead in a murder case that is still unresolved till this day and has been the subject of many conspiracy theories. However sad this event was it can not hide the fact that it catapulted 2pac into a famous...

WAY too many covers for my liking. Sure, Knockin' On Heaven's Door was good, Live And Let Die was pretty damn good too, but on a GreatestHits, covers should be more scarce (especially when they are Since I Don't Have You and Sympathy For The Devil - Tolerable, yes, greatesthits? No! Furthermore, tell me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe Civil War was even released, I'm not certain but, that's what I...

Advantages: A comprehensive selection of the kings hits Disadvantages: Fans will already have all this material
...There are so very many 'GreatestHits" albums on the market today, some of the bans concerned have only been around a year or two, I mean I liked 'Busted' but 'GreatestHits' p-lease.
Here , at least, we have an album of 'GreatestHits' by arguably the worlds greatest performer. As they say if you only have one ELVIS album in your collection, make it this one.
In one foul swoop you have the essence that is ELVIS. From, what is historically acknowledged as, THE first rock'n'roll song "That's All Right" all the way to the posthumously released "Way Down" this great double album has it all. Young raw Elvis singing "Mystery Train" and "Lawdy Miss Clawdy", classic rockin' Elvis, "All Shook Up", "Teddy Bear" and "Hound Dog" tracks from some of his most memorable films, "Love Me Tender", "Jailhouse Rock" and "King Creole" no.1's from the 60...
