...Greek band, Firewind makes their 3rd album Forged by Fire their most finest album to date. With leads by Gus G and superb singing by Chity Somapala this album truely is fantastic. With album opener Kill to Live, you immediately hear the amazing guitar riffs and singing come into play, with the pinched harmonics giving that cool edge to the song. Half way in, there is a instrumental called Feast of Savages, which just blows me away everytime I hear it, the solos, drums and everything is just amazing. Begins with pure shredding but melodic shredding, none of that 'I-can-play-at-350bps-but-sounds-crap' nonesense, then blends into a very cool heavy metal style riff and to finish it off, goes into a nice melodic ending. Burn in Hell, is a very unique song, which sort of starts off with a trance like intro giving it a great lead... Read review

...Formed in 1970 ' Grobschnitt ' are another of Germanys premier Space Rock outfits and still going strong today i believe. Difficult to describe their style fully as they incorporated so many other elements into their Space Rock........psychedelia , theatrical , humour , progressive. Which in some instances resmembled that of Frank Zappa and Gong with some Pink Floyd ,Yes styles too. ' SOLAR MUSIC LIVE ' has to be one of my all time favourite space rock albums ever. An absolutely mighty live (1978 ) recording. Although there's seven tracks here ,this just flows into one long suite. It's just amazing how this builds from the start with spacey sections, FX and some vocals into some fantastic space rock with mostly twin lead guitars , bass , drums interplay , battling it out in the middle section. Advantages: Ian Brown, Back to his best.
Disadvantages: Not on long enough

...'s more light than any of the others to ween people who have never listened to "The Monkey Man" himself into this sort of music. You'll hear a wide range of influences in this album, including an arabian (or so I think) inspired track, but saying that it was wrote by his guitarist (Aziz Ibrahim) and Ian.
