I have all the Beautiful South albums and I think that they are all very good, as this is a compilation of all their best hits it has to be there best album to date.

Advantages: Great Album with loads of tracks Disadvantages: Some tracks are repeats from Carry On Up The Charts
...South could not have expected Solid Bronze to out perofrm their multi-platinum first attempt at a hits collection Carry On Up The Charts (1994) - so their strategy was to put as many songs as possible onto this one.
So, sometimes this album may seem a little repetative - however the one great advantage is that it can be seen as a more complete collection of hits - and the inclusion of The Mediterranian is a real bonus!

Album Notes: 'Solid Bronze' is a collection of popular tracks from the first twelve years of the Hull pop-rock act's career. It supercedes 1994's 'Carry On Up The Charts' compilation as it includes material from the albums, 'Blue Is The Colour', 'Quench' and 'Painting It Red'. Also included is a rendition of 'Dream A Little Dream' which featured on the soundtrack of 'French Kiss'.
