Album Notes: 'Solid Gold Hits' is a specially selected collection of greatest hits and remixes by one of the most successful and influential hip-hop acts of all time, The Beastie Boys. Over the course of the past twenty-plus years, The Beastie Boys have managed to splice hip-hop with almost every conceivable genre out there, from hair metal to big beat, and this album is the perfect showcase of their evolution in sound over that period. Includes the singles 'Sabotage' and 'Sure Shot'.
Advantages: Interesting and original music, oldschool hip hop breaks Disadvantages: poor sound quality at times
...The BeastieBoys were one of the hit sounds of the 70's and were originally started by Mike D. Their mix of hip hop and funk brought their music originality and their witty lyrics continue to surprise everyone. They basically did what they wanted, when they wanted and didnt care about anybody elses opinions. They have released many albums but his single has got to be one of their best singles released. Their are 6 tracks on the album. These are the names
1.Sabotage [LP Version]
2. Get It Together [LP Version]
3. Resolution Time
4. Get It Together [Buck Wild Remix]
5. Dope Little Song
6. Get It Together [A.B.A. Remix]

The song is written about a closet homosexual and its asking whether he can forgive his wife/girlfreind for making a fool of him and realising that he was gay. He doesn't want to admit to himself his true sexuality, yet when his...
