***THE PRESENT***
It nearly *was* a present – I bought it and then had to take the thing back again as I need the cash for more pressing things. Like food. Used to be a bit financially challenged y’see, I even got bought the Alvin Hall book. But I digress, I’m stable now but my lovely girlfriend nearly got it back for me out of the goodness of her heart. She rocks. Then the mood eases for Black, beautiful and emotional, Jeremy and Oceans, the only track that doesn't have the live potential of the others. Back on to the harder rock vibe sees Porch scream by (check...

During the Late Summer of 1974 while taking a break from the "Diamond Dogs" tour Bowie booked himself into the Sigma Sound Studios in Philadelphia ran by Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff to record what would turn out to be one of the most influential albums of the 70's.
Whenever Bowie switched on the radio while in the States he had been fed a diet of the international sound of Philadelphia, Bowie at the time was nuts on the sound of the 3 degrees and M.F.S.B. (which stands for Mother Father Sister Brother) there was even a rumour at the time that Bowie tried...
