Complete peerless artists of their time. Although the ethos of the Floyd and Tobin are quite similar in sound building, that is where the similarity ends. Tobin just kicked it up a notch. If you are new to Amon Tobin, then don't start with this one. Go with Supermodified or Permutation to get a true idea of what his music is like, as this title is quite a lot more experimental than his others. If you don't like either of those, then you probably wont like this. If you aren't new, then chances are you have this record and you have mixed feelings about it. As do I. I really like this album. ...happened with 2004's Fate of Norns album) this could have been a lot more than just a rehash of the previous album. Line-up Vocals - Johan Hegg Bass - Ted Lundstrom Guitar - Johan Soderberg Drums - Fredrik Andersson Guitar - Olavi Mikkonen Your first view of this album will be the front cover, which has surpassed any other Metal album cover in terms of pure cheesiness... yep, even Number of the Beast! What we have is a muscled Viking warrior, with a handlebar moustache, smashing a stone tablet with some kind of metal implement while stood in a hall with massive pillars rising behind him. The colours of this album cover are the same as almost every other Amon Amarth design, being earthy with some orange to represent raging fires.
