I would just like to write a review of HMV, a shop that I used today but in my option is probably one of the better shops to use for entertainment style products.
As it is coming up to my dad's birhday, I asked him what he wanted - hoping that it was cheap or not too bad on the old pocket. He stated that he wanted Lords of the Rings, and as we have it only video he said that it would be good to actually have it on DVD.
Having already been in to HMV previously this week in order to look for another item (for which I did not actually buy for whatever reason but anyway), I had actually in fact noticed that they sold this item - in my mind, I had £10 for the triple box DVD set.

Advantages: Good Bargains Disadvantages: You have to drive there
before I browse the place....And savour the moment I do, much the same as I do when I get off a plane when it lands in Spain, anyway let's move on..................
I go straight to the long row that contains the dvd offers for that week, and it's 3 dvds for £20 at the moment. I have got great bargains in this section including "Fight Club" and "Sea Biscuit". Just beside this section is another row of reduced dvds usually around the £6.99 mark and if you know what is popular on ebay you can make a few pounds as well. I picked up a rare copy of "I Spit on Your Grave" for £5.99 and sold it easily on ebay for £14.99 so do browse ebay before going to HMV.............

Anyway, if you go back to Raiders of the Lost Ark and really look at the action scenes, you can see how poorly done they are. In King Solomon's Mines, they are laughable, which really gives this film its charm. In one scene, Quatermain is hanging onto the back of a train, holding himself steady with his legs on the rails - now forgive me if I'm wrong, but he's sliding on a very plastic surface there. Another example, adding in old footage of elephants and African wildlife that was so obviously taken with another camera perhaps years before.
To be fair, this is a comedy, at least I hope it is. Sharon Stone is at her worst in this film, given some of the worst screams and dialogue known to Hollywood. One scene comes to mind where Chamberlain & Stone are just about to be eaten by cannibals. Thrown into ...
