Jay Z's Finest
Review of Blueprint Vol.1, The [PA] - Jay-Z by  Jesst2401

Advantages: Classy, Excellent use of sampling, Effortless
Disadvantages: Not long enough!

...An inspiring and elegant example of Jay Z at his very best, 'The Blueprint 'exhibits all the essential of a modern hip hop album. Combines raw beats with funky riffs and soulful voices to create an atmosphere of a smoky blues club meets the MC battle stage. Whilst popular releases such as 'Izzo' and 'Girls, Girls, Girls' bring Jay Zs ever-strong talent respectfully into the mainstream, 'Song Cry' is pure genius, showing the multi-faceted side his writing skills. 'Hola Hovita' introduces a latin edge, and 'The Takeover' keeps the competition between Jay Z and Nas well and truly fresh. To sum up, sublime would be the essential word. Jay Z himself claims this to be one of his favourite albums, and rightly so. If (and it will) The Blueprint leaves you gasping for more, check out the MTV Unplugged album - a live and acoustic beauty... Read review

JAY-Z IS BACK BUT HAS HE STILL GOT IT
Review of Kingdom Come (Parental Advisory) [PA] - Jay-Z by  easy-c

Advantages: jay-z is back
Disadvantages: a few weak songs

...So jay-z is back after a retirement that lasted for about 12 months but he is a rap legend so it's good to see him back. If this album came from any other artist it would be seen as a great album but because its jay we expect only the best and Evan though it is a good album it is not that classic stuff that we used to from jay there are some great tracks such as "do u wanna ride" "lost one" "show me what you got and "dig a hole" but a couple "the new 20" and "anything are just not up to scratch Evan though this isn't jays strongest work he makes a good album I would recommend but could his crown of king of new York be slipping I think it has and nas has taken over although the real king the notorious b.i.g. Is sadly deceased Cop the album you will love it if you love jay... Read review

SOFT ROCK AT IT'S BEST
Review of Blue Jays - Justin Hayward/John Lodge by  DECISION1

Advantages: EASY LISTENING MUSIC WILL SUIT ALL TASTES
Disadvantages: NONE WE SRE TALKING A CLASS ACT

...This superb album was initially released in 1975 by two fifths of one of the best classic rock bands around. After completing all the recording and gig commitments two fifths of the Moody Blues, John Lodge and Justin Hayward got together and produced another classic BLUE JAYS. Iam sure you all remember timeless classics like Nights in White Satin from Days of Future Passed and Question from Question of Balance, well this album is of a similar type but more melodic. Both Justin Hayward and John Lodge have been in the Moody Blues since I was at school in the 60's. You could say I have grown up with them and I don't consider they have ever recorded a bad track. In concert what can I say SUPERB. This 11 track album is great to listen to or just to have on whilst you are doing something else. Among the classic tracks is Blue Guitar... Read review
