Brought out as their second album in 1996, following their first, Pleased To Meet You the previous year, this was the much-described “Make or break” second album for Sleeper. Thanks to the indie explosion of around the same time, and continual plugs on Radio One and TFI Friday thanks to Chris Evans, who was also enjoying a popularity explosion at the same time, this album looked set to make Sleeper.
Although primarily billed as an indie group, there’s no doubt that this album had roots in the pop world, with catchy lyrics and pop sounds that belied it’s indie title.
Below I’ve listed the tracks, though I’ve only given descriptions of the better ones for reasons that I list at the bottom.

Now, put like this, it might not seem like the most exciting prospect in the world but it was this show that not only eventually launched the most successful girlband since the Spice Girls, but it was also their success that proved to all the doubters who had, erm, doubted the significance and credibility of reality TV since the sad flop that was Hear'Say that televised talent shows would, and could, generate talent, longevity and music worth listening...
