Something Different, Something Dangerous

Advantages: Classic 80's cult road movie
Disadvantages: Aged a bit

was not an actor for comedy, although since he has perfected the art admirably. Something Wild is a road movie, our two leads travelling across America with a goal that only Lulu, (who you later discover is called Audrey) knowing the purpose of the road trip. On the journey the couple have numerous encounters and mishaps, as Lulu makes good boy Charles (now renamed Charlie) a project, making him do all the bad things in order to help achieve a long term goal. For Charlie you see it's all about being in the wrong place at the wrong time, and it soon becomes apparent that all is not as it seems. There is some bad boy menace in the form of Ray Liotta who turns up in the last portion of the movie as Lulu's ex husband Ray Sinclair. Review of Something Wild (DVD)

There's Something About This Film

Advantages: Very funny
Disadvantages: Bad taste for some people

really showcases all his potential. Cameron Diaz was perfect for the part of Mary, she?s a beautiful woman but in all her movies she retains the likeability factor which is what has kept her in the spotlight all these years even when challenged by the younger actresses (Jessica Alba, Megan Fox) they of course have the sex appeal factor but Cameron Diaz has that and she?s always a likeable character onscreen. She?s definitely one of my favourite actresses as she is very versatile, she can play comedy roles along with serious roles such as her new film My Sister?s Keeper which I plan to see soon. I know this is likely to be an unpopular opinion when it comes to this film but I absolutely hate Matt Dillon in this, I?ve like him in other films such as You, Me & Dupree but there?s something that really gets on my nerves in this film ...

Review of There's Something About Mary (DVD)

Does It Mean Something?

Advantages: Some purely amazing piano based tracks, an incredible voice in many places
Disadvantages: Some rubbish pop songs that cheapen the album considerably, her voice in places

by herself, the haunting concoction of piano and tender vocals makes this one a little tearful, especially when the song completely breaks down at the end but it's so momentous, especially when you read the words separately but it does seem a little premature to have something that verges on drastically melancholic as the fifth track. Marks out of 10: 9.5 - heartfelt and loving, 'Flying Home' is a beautiful tribute to who ever it is written about. It maintains an optimistic attitude underneath the surface but its ballad like tempo does make it one of the more intentionally thought provoking tracks on the album. It has a real beauty to it, which is only improved by Chantal's voice. Track #6: Weight Of The World This is the first track on 'What If It All Means Something?' that I fail to like.
