Advantages: brilliant performance, clever and engaging story Disadvantages: none
After watching Before Sunrise I was hesitating whether to watch Before Sunset that day or wait not to ruin the experience. Usually the sequences are worse and spoil even the original movie. Advantages: Some Really Catchy Tracks Disadvantages: Can Be Saming Wont Appeal To A Large Audience
Alkanline Trio released this album in 2005 much to the joy off the vast majority of there fans. If you enjoy punk/rock/emo etc this album is defintely worth a look.
I would also recommend it to other people who enjoy music. If you enjoy a vast erray of genres i would recommend this album. It is just "hard" enough to distinguish it from pop but is not heavy enough to burst your eardrums - thankfully.
Alkaliine Trio have released another album this year called Remains which i personally didnt enjoy as much as this one. May just be me as i have lots of happy memories with this album, but if you have heard that album and enjoyed it definetly get this album.
You can pick this album up really cheaply now its 2 years old. On itunes it is £7.99 however i suspect you can probably pick it up on somewhere such as ebay or amazon for alot ...

Album Notes
Keith Jarrett Trio: Keith Jarrett (piano); Charlie Haden (bass); Paul Motian (drums). Recorded live at Shelly's Manne-Hole, Hollywood, California on August 30 and 31, 1968. Originally released on Vortex (2012). Includes liner notes by George Avakian. Keith Jarrett was just 23 at the time of this 1968 trio performance at Shelly's Manne Hole in Hollywood, California. At this time he was pianist for the Charles Lloyd Quartet, but was already beginning to find his own voice as a leader. This would of course come to full flower in the next decade, but at this juncture he's capably and innovatively exploring a number of different idioms. The opening notes of the album come from Charlie Haden's distinct and resonant bass, as he delineates the chordal structure of Dylan's "My Back Pages." Both Haden and drummer Paul Motian would continue with Jarrett in his classic ensemble throughout the '70s. From gospel reveries to Bill Evans-inspired classicism to jagged post-bop explosiveness, it's exciting to hear this important pianist and composer in his early years.
Album Reviews
Record Collector (magazine) (p.96) - 4 stars out of 5 -- "[T]his 22-track assemblage offers a fascinating glimpse of the pianist in experimental mode, before he eschewed electronic instruments altogether."
