When I listen to Autumn Leaves, I cry. When I listen to Somewhere over the rainbow, I think myself lucky to have lived in a time when this music was available for me to buy and listen to.
In her last days in hospital, she spent her time writing thankyou cards and even drawing them in her hospital bed because she did not want her public to send her gifts of flowers without saying thankyou which she did in a very personal way when she was in so much pain.
Her last appearance was onstage with Chuck Brown late into her illness. They put a stool for her to sit on because she had no strength and the last number that she sang was Wonderful World. The audience were stunned. This concert was a piece of musical history.

Advantages: a beautiful relaxing outstanding album Disadvantages: sadly departed a damn shame
An outstanding album from an amazing sounding lady, as live albums go this is one of my top choices, the songs are beautiful ,full of passion and soul, you cannot listen to this album without being touched by Eva's sublime voice.As female artists go Eva is my favorite, there is not one song on this album that i think "i'll fast forward this one". Her band do her a lot of justce as everything just fits together nicely.
For me the stand out tracks are "Stormy Monday" , "Tall Trees of Georgia", and " Oh Had I a Golden Thread" , I like to listen to this with all the lights off and just sitting on the settee and just soak up the atmosphere.
The only annoying thing on the album is the person who insists on tapping there glass whilst Eva sings tall trees in georgia,it must have been picked up by an atmos mic, i could slap whoever it was ...

The first release of Eva Cassidy material in four years features interpretations of tracks by Dolly Parton, George Gershwin and Don Covay and production by Chris Biondo, the man who recorded all her original material and introduced her to the music industry. If you can get into Enya, then this is in my opinion the best of her 5 albums and is a very passionate and romantic album, which is great with a glass of wine, candles, nice food, an open fire, followed by...........
