Advantages: It is Grisham's first nonfiction novel Disadvantages: just a touch too much fluff
...When I first saw John Grisham's book, The Innocent Man, on the bookshelves I grabbed it! What I did not realize was that this novel is his first writing in nonfiction! However, I was not disappointed!
The research involved is impeccable - not a stone left unturned!
His portrayal of the people involved, the way in which he presented the facts, and the overall plot was captivating. If I didn't know any better, I would have believed that this was another work of fiction.
The only thing I was not really thrilled with was the repetition of facts - the "fluff". I caught the jist the first two times - rereading it the fourth and fifth times almost made me feel kind of stupid. The only thing I can say about that is publishers need to stop worrying about page content!
The Innocent Man is wonderful nove! It's a must-have addition to my...

Advantages: Good value Disadvantages: bit boring really
...Rich tea biscuits for a poor man.
These are a pack of value biscuits I am reviewing. 300g of biscuits for 25p can't get much cheaper than that. There are about 25 or 26 biscuits in a pack so 1p a biscuit can't be bad. Mc Vities 300g rich tea pack costs 71p from Tesco so as you can tell from the price. Rich tea biscuits are not the most exciting of biscuit.
The Tesco value pack comes in the standard value packaging white with blue writing a picture of a couple of biscuits on it too , blue ends of the paper seal the end of the biscuit pack .. If you do not wish your friends to notice that you are so poor/mean you have to buy value biscuits then unwrap put them in a biscuit tin or arrange on a plate to serve.
Personally I am not desperately keen on rich tea biscuits of any kind. The Tesco value rich tea are an ok biscuit...

Advantages: Highlights the faults of the criminal justice system Disadvantages: .
...As a fan of John Grisham I bought this book without reading the blurb on the back, I hadn't realised it was actually a true story and not a work of fiction.
~The Story~
The book for the most part follows the lives of Ron Williamson and his family, although through association with Ron it also encompasses the life of Dennis Fritz. There are also substantial mentions for Tommy Ward and Karl Fontenot.
The book is basically about the inadequacies and the injustices in the US justice system. The malicious prosecution of a man and his friend because he is different, because he doesn't fit in with societies ideals, because his physical appearance scares people and because his mental illnesses make his an ideal scapegoat.
~The Men and Women Involved~
Ron Williamson
Ron was a high school college star, destined for the big leagues, his...
