Advantages: Relaxing story telling music with a bit of heart
Disadvantages: Too boring

...OK album, with a nice mix of different artist most of which i have never hear of before. As you can probably tell I'm not usually into this kind of music but being someone always looking to expand my musical horizons, I thought i would give it a go but was not too impressed. Most of the songs featured were not too impressive, many of which sounded very boring and generic for the genre. Track 15, Green Fields of France - Furey & Davey Arthur was probably one of the most impressive tracks on the album; this song featured delicately sung lyrics and an impressive story which i think is based on world war 2. Some of the other tracks were almost up to this standard but were too boring and didn't catch my attention.... Read review

Advantages: 2 discs of great tunes
Disadvantages: repition of songs.

...This is a great compilation album from the australian based electronic label which has bought us artists such as cut copy. 2 discs give you a mixed and unmixed selection of songs (some repitition on the same discs) the mixed disc is a well composed mix ideal for pre club drinking or in the car. the unmixed disc gives the listener chance to listen to the songs in their entirity. people may recognise some artists such as bloc party as their tracks feature with remixed and edited versions, but more importantly it gives the listener a chance to discover new artists. the album comprises of a mix of indie with a dance feel, and electro based dance-pop. if that sounds like your thing, go for this.... Advantages: A great album, thathas bought back many pleasant memories
Disadvantages: A pity there a not 100 songs available

...My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the songs contained in this album. Although I was bought up in Australia & my wife in Wales, both of us recalled every song. The amazing thing was after 40 years we knew every song word for word. The album consists of 2 CD's with 60 songs, from artist in UK, Australia and USA. We have a number of LP records that include the songs contained in the album, but we can't play them. The fact that they are all on a CD brings life in 2005 to 60's hits. Hits that would be lost forever if it wasn't for modern technology. We highly recommend this album to those who can remember the 60's and want to relive those great days.... Read review
