This disc from Murray Perahia on the Sony label is quite simply one of the best solo piano discs to be released in recent years.

I've listened to this disc almost every day for the past two months and I'm STILL not bored with it! It seems to have a piece of music for every mood, from the upbeat, almost jazzy feel of the Bach to the sombre gallop of Schubert's Erl-King.
This is the first disc of Perahia's that I've really got into - can't wait for his forthcoming disc of Bach's Goldberg Variations!
Advantages: The best of Ludovico's originality and unclassifiable style Disadvantages: applause is much louder than piano
The first album I bought by this wonderful man... the reason being it has almost exactly the same songs as his 'best of' piano book. These are songs that you will have in your head straight away... in fact, throughout Ludovico's albums we have a sense of familiarity, even on first listen. Maybe it taps into emotions that we remember from ages ago, or maybe he's just very good at what he does, but either way, you won't be satisfied by this album... you'll want more!

Advantages: Beautifully done. Disadvantages: May not be liked by everyone.
Amy Lee has done it yet again!
Her majestic voice has won this reviewers heart once again with the calm soft piano notes, metallic music complimented with Lee's soaring operatic voice.
People will skip to 'All that i'm living for' which combines heavy rock guitars with the haunting arias of Miss Lee or if a calmer mood takes you, you'll find yourself listening to 'Good enough'.
A musical treat for all moods.
The album comes with a gothic style illustrated booklet showing the songwords so you can sing along with Amy.
Though I do agree that Fallen was a better album, fans will still enjoy this album and should hasten to buy it at their local music store.
I must also mention the album cover which was beautifully done. ...
Advantages: value for money, songwords, good tracks Disadvantages: none really
'Performance and Cocktails', the 2nd album produced by the Stereophonics is really amazing. I absolutely love 'the bartender and the thief' as it has a really catchy beat. The album, priced at around £15 for the CD contains 13 tracks which are all good. The album was a nominee for the Brit. awards 2000 and i'm not surprized!! The cover of the CD is a really good design and the CD leaflet contains all the songwords which is really helpful. I would really recommend this CD to anyone who likes pop/rock music. ...
