It's been a while now since this single was released, in fact getting on for 4 years, but one things for sure, It hasn't lost any of its appeal, It rocked then and it rocks now!
This was the first single of the album Mutter and the song most people remember when they think of Rammstein, especially when coupled with the video.
This song starts of with a litle count up to ten in German, but soon lets loose with a powerful guitar riff that drives the point home. The lyrics are as tight as always and intwine with the guitar well. The verse of this song though is not what makes it so special even if it does have a good riff, It's the chorus that makes it stand out. A powerful guitar piece couples a blinding vocal assault from the frontman Till. It actually means what it sounds like. '1-Here comes the sun 2-here comes the sun, 3 she is the brightest star of them all 4 here comes the Sun.' But its sung with such power that coupled with a gothic like female vocal it really is an amazing chorus.
The bridge consists of a voilin/drum/vocal piece that fits in perfect with the dark, stormy atomosphere of this song. But again its the final chorus that does it, simply never serving to bore
The song ends with a 30 second female voice solo that sounds as dark as the song it finishes.
All in all Sonne is the track people will know if they have heard of Rammstein, it shot to the top of most rock charts upon its release.
The video for this Song is equally as memorable. It features the band members as the Seven Dwarfs working down a mine, digging and breaking rocks, when a dominatrix style Snow White enters the mine and attempts to seduce them, I wont spoil the ending, watch it yourself.
Excellent song, Excellent video, but then this is what we've come to expect from Rammstein!

Advantages: Heavy Electro-Rock, German is the Perfect Language for the music... Disadvantages: However, the language barrier may put some off. I recommend you ignore it.
