Advantages: Easy listening, humorous banter Disadvantages: Not for the young
...for an alternative, and then my husband suggested we try Radio 2, the only station he was able to receive on the battered old radio installed in his clapped out works van. He'd listened to Sarah Kennedy's breakfast show, known as the Dawn Patrol, a few times, and said that he'd quite liked it, being similar to the kind of thing we had been used to. I must confess, I'd never had any time for Game for a Laugh, the TV programme in which Sarah had been one of four presenters some years back, and which was the only time I'd ever heard of her, but we decided to give the show a hearing. Advantages: Good balance of comedy and drama, good performances, quirky. Disadvantages: Horrid soundtrack, Samantha Mathis.

Advantages: A fantastic band and a brilliant album! Disadvantages: Not everyone will like every track.
...Never one to shy away from a challenge, I've decided it's about time I jumped in feet first into the music category. So without further ado, I'd like to welcome you to the quirky, fantastical world of the Barenaked Ladies.
About the Band
Barenaked Ladies are a Canadian alternative rock band, renowned for their comedic lyrics, humorous rapping and general quirky take on songs. The band began as a duo with founding members Ed Robertson and Steven Page, playing their first live gig on October 1st, 1988. They then recruited more members and released their first full album, Gordon, in 1992, quickly achieving success in Canada. More albums followed and the popularity of the Barenaked Ladies increased. Even I graced them with my presence at a live performance at V2000, which is, of course, a recognized achievement amongst many...
