...Before I got my iPod and sounddock, I was one of those who refuses to subscribe to the technological revolution. Prefering hi-fi and compact disc to the digital music phenomenon. However, within a week (once I'd worked out how to use it), I was hooked on my iPod and once I got the sound-dock, there was no turning back. I think it's fairly safe to say that the era of compact disc players and tape decks is over... The only reason I still have a normal cd player in my house is to listen to the radio, and those few albums that I just haven't got around to putting on my iPod yet. The Bose sound-dock is a piece of mastery in the area of audio technology. Beautiful, sleek and streamlined; it's large frontal speaker provides both volume and sound quality. Advantages: A good house plant

...Lets step back in time, maybe twenty years ago when African violets were the `in` plant and nearly every household had one sitting on their windowsill. An aunt of mine considered herself a specialist in the field! I used to be invited to share a pot of her strong tea and partake of an intellectual conversation about the life of an African Violet! In all fairness she grew beauties, she had the right colour fingers when it came down to it. Her windowsills were awash with pots of all shapes and sizes which were bursting with multi coloured blooms. Not only multi coloured but she loved to experiment, grafting leaves from different plants and growing them as one, she ended up with some marvellous Hybrids! African violets are fairly easy to propagate, make sure that you have a clean pot ( average sized) fill it with compost... Read review

...Buster wants to play and I worry he might squish silly mad BIRD by accident if left alone !!! Other than that its up to him he rarely flies around and is quite happy on his cage and stand that I made him. He amuses himself climbing around and messing with his stuff, sitting on my knee while I'm on the computer ( his stand makes for a good place to put my feet up while typing) Not Just a Pretty Boy... African Greys are well known for their intelligence and their reputation is well deserved. My Grey talks when it suits him and spends his days whistling weird tunes, clicking, barking, sometimes screaming -when boy screams Bird screams...V.funny ! - Tweeting at the cockatiel, making mobile phone noises, sirens, squawking, car alarms, kisses.
