...most popular (rather than "the very best") of Maestro Morricone. How dangerous it is to reduce such a prolific composer to one single CD! Certainly a good intro for someone who doesn't know anything about him, but still in that case, I´d rather listen to a complete soundtrack of his. If you are a Morricone fan, you would agree that Morricone's eclectic spirit could suit any music lover... yet this album cannot offer an eclectic picture of his genious. ...

(It's) Hairspray performed by James Marsden transports you to a sixties show you can imagine the singers particularly 'Corny Colins' with his slicked hair and suit and tie holding on to his microphone!! You Can't Stop the Beat is a really toe tapping tune that I could listen to over and over! This is definitely another favourite of mine! Track 17 Come so Far (Got So Far To Go) is another cheesy track but great all the same. Cooties ...
...little more modern than the rest - the film is set in the 60's so I don't think this fits in on the soundtrack unfortunately. Mama, I'm a Big Girl Now features Ricki Lake, who starred as Tracy in the original 1987 film, this is a good finale to the soundtrack. ... Read review

Disadvantages: May lose scariness due to open settings, No ending battle with boss

The 3rd film in the Resident Evil series was under pressure from the successes of the first two, and i'm happy to say that it delivered. The film is packed with action scenes and the screen flooded with zombies as regular points. Deviating from the settings of the prequels, which were either in an underground lab, or during the night, Extinction's atmosphere has changed from the dark, claustrophobic edgy feel as the film is more or less fully out ...
...result the music tends to be slightly different. This may not be good, but it isnt bad either as this new atmosphere builds up tension strangely be seeing what will happen next, odd considering that this same effect was created in the first two films by doing just the opposite. However despite this, the music gives the eerie feel to you and makes you feel on egde, more like a horror movie than an action movie. It gives the feel that someone is watching ... Read review
