Personally, not being a real avid fan of the old Dawsons Creek myself i cant really comment on the show much but there are some very moving scenes that require the "slushiest" soft rock ballards. This is generally what you should expect to find on this album! I also bought only the second volume, i cannot comment on the 1st volume!
I bought this album purley for the second song on the album; Evan and Jaron, Crazy For This Girl. You may have heard ... ...but couldnt find it anywhere and i was keener on buying this compilation rather than the Evan and Jaron album.
The album itself has been noted at around the £11 version in places like the virgin megastore. I however seem to be one of the lucky ones. On a trip to a place called, Mcarthur Glen, a retail, outlet village near mansfield i found it at a price of just £7.99 in a shop called XS. the album cover is also an absolute spell binder with as you can see on the photo its angel (david boreanaz) about to bite buffy's (sarah michelle gellar) neck.

I had only seen the film once and bought this CD on the offchance that it was good. Have to admit - I was really impressed. It's one of those soundtracks where you can place most of the songs in the fim; as opposed to listening and thinking 'that was in the film?'
The soundtrack kicks off with Pink and William Orbit's mix of 'Feel Good Time' - it's upbeat and racey, and totally fits it s role in the film; used during the dirt-bike race. The next ... ...the remix of David Bowie's original 'Rebel Rebel' are upbeat and good songs in their own right - there's a good deal of quite rocky/indie tracks on this album.
The next two songs are classics: Electric Six is pretty much famous for 'Danger! High Voltage' - it's racey and was very modern at the time of the film's release. Bon Jovi's 'Livin' On A Prayer' will never get old - perhaps the ultimate rock anthem? Even if you don't like the film much, these ...

The Sopranos television series was one of the few television highpoints of the last few years. The series is clever and unique as is this soundtrack.
The uniqueness of this CD is apparant when reading the tracklisting, how many compilations would have Bod Dylan, Frank Sinatra, Nick Lowe and the Eurythmics on the same CD. while some people may think this eclectic mix a weakness in a compilation, I preferred it. the reason being listening to this ... ...of Alabama 3 or R. L. Burnside, however, listening to their tracks on this compilation ("Woke up this morning" and "It's bad you know" respectively) it encouraged me to make an effort to listen to more of their stuff.
This soundtrack is dark and brooding, perfectly mirroring the television series. The onlt problem with this compilation is that there are so m any other songs that i have heard on the television show that I wish were on it, surely ...

Armageddon the album as you can probably tell from the title is the soundtrack from the movie. After watching the movie I was very impressed with all of the songs used and thought that I would treat myself to this CD when it was available.
