AHHHHHH. what can I say the k.b film number 2 is about as enthrawling as the album.
What a dissapointment, I expected fast tempos and classic string music..due to the final death you expect the highs and lows right !!! ??? I still dont recall some of the album musc being in the film!?
The album starts with opening lines from the film, talking for ages it seems to go on for hours!! Then as the CD progresses you start to hear the mexican and spanish ... ...but this was just toooo mummys and daddsy tacky, towards the end of the album you even get a fake elvis sound alike...strange.
The CD was played at a party and seen as everybody had had a few anyway then people thought they were in a cheesy bar somewhere in Spain!!
What a let down is all I can say, you do get enough tracks for the money and seen as I got it for 3.00 then yeah I suppose I will dig it out one day again at the end of the night.

In my opinion, if you loved the film, you will love the soundtrack! I thought the covers on this album were brilliant, such as Will Young's version of Your Love Is King, and Mary J Blige's version of Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word. Some of the songs on this album are very "mushy", but personally I see this as a bonus (let's face it, the film is pretty mushy and girly but that's what we love about it) and there are some more uplifting, upbeat ... ...by The Darkness.
The highlight of the album in my opinion, is I Eat Dinner. It is such a beautiful song and I'm so glad they included it in both the film and the soundtrack. I like the fact that the album consists of songs which have been huge hits, aswell as some great songs which most people will not have heard before, not forgtting the amazing covers.
Overall, the CD is definitely worth the money, and I would certainly recommend this soundtrack ...

...As you can see from my opening-sentence, I loved the music of "My Best Friend's Wedding". The songs fit of course to the story and are therefore only happy-romantic lovesongs. I especially worship "I say A Little Prayer", sung by Diana King and for the film also sung by a rough, wonderful soul voice, whose name doesn't appear.
