Grease is THE word! Advantages: Fun! Disadvantages: None! If you've seen the movie, and love the music in it, pick up this single disc reissue of the original classic 2-LP album. I have the original record album and played it quite frequently. It's good to hnag on to, but in the past year I bought this single disc and don't have to worry about this getting worn out. All the original songs from the film are here. The songs are done in the style a typical '50s rock'n'roll song or ballad. The title track ... Don't be fooled. This is music is of a very high quality. Advantages: High quality vocals from John Travolta, Olivia Newton- John and Frankie Valli. Spellbinding Advantages: More songs than original soundtrack Disadvantages: Album art and booklet is weak The Godspell album is the perfect companion to the hit musical and film. Regularly overlooked due to the religious overtones, it is actually a brilliantly written musical, made up of many songs and very little dialogue. The running theme of the music throughout the album, is to tell the story of jesus, in present and modern times, but by listening to the music, you can see that this is, in the most cases, a subtle undertone, and not necisarily noticable ... ...was released in 1973 and contained only 12 tracks, but this newer album includes 4 extra tracks such as We Beseach Thee and the original Prologue. The album cover has a picture of Darren Day, but again, do not let that put you off. High Fives all round! Advantages: good mix, energetic, fun Disadvantages: / When I was a bit younger, I used to watch Australian kids show Hi 5 on Milkshake every morning religiously before school. It is a programme aimed at pre-school and primary school children, teaching them various things through the methods of song and dance. Naturally, there are five presenters, all of which are Australian. Okay so the education side is a bit young fo rme, but I do find the music very entertaining on the show! Now I do not have the ... ...I did buy one of their several albums. This one was Hi 5 Hits. This album is very attractive, a very colourful cover with little cartoon images of the band: Nathan Foley, Charley Delaney, Tim Harding, Kellie Crawford (then Hoggart), and Kathleen de Leon. It is very bright and draws your attention in for sure! Looking on the back I noticed there were a total of twenty one songs. I will let you discover the wonders of them all yourself, but to give ... How High would this reach? Advantages: good songs, good price Disadvantages: generally appeals only to HSM fans ...while to catch on to High School Musical. In fact, I ended up seeing High School Musical 3 before I saw the first two! Though I have now caught myself up and along with that I am becoming more familiar with the songs. In an attempt to fully connect with the music, I found myself borrowing the CDs from a friend. One of which was of course the High School Musical 2 CD soundtrack. The album can be recognized by its aqua blue cover. On the front, 'High ... ...you are a fan of High School Musical, but I will admit that it is not one I would rush out and buy myself. It is a good CD to listen to if you were given it as a gift or, in my case, if you borrow it from a friend. Though I feel you should only spend money on it if you know you are going to like it and you do like High School Musical!
