Advantages: Great music, showcasing Jackson at his best Disadvantages: Not a soundtrack album, just a marketing tool

The cinematic release opens it up to more people than had tickets for the shows at the O2 and whilst we may only get to see the rehearsals rather than the full on show, it’s a last opportunity to see Michael Jackson doing what he has always done best – put on one heck of a show. Naturally, with a film there is an accompanying soundtrack. Unfortunately, the 2 CD version of “This Is It” is not a soundtrack, but ... ...“Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’”. This is a great high tempo pop tune with a funky bass beat that it wonderfully typical of much of Jackson’s output. It bounces along wonderfully and it’s the kind of song that gets your feet tapping. That said, at just over six minutes long and containing a number of repetitions of the chorus, it does get a little repetitive after a while, as there isn’t a lot of variation in either the music or the lyrics. ...a copy of Michael Jackson’s This Is It (having been to the cinema the night before to see the concert movie that the album itself is based on). For the last couple of hours I have been listening to the album whilst writing this review.
I have never written a review of a music album before and, to be honest, was not entirely sure where to start !!! Advantages: Good Music, Good number of tracks. Disadvantages: The "first song" is just a narrative, but you can easily skip it.
I got this soundtrack because the movie was so... in lack of other words: delicious. This CD was the best soundtrack all summer long. I love the wide gap of music ranging from the Smiths to Hall and Oats to Feist to Regina Spector. Not to mention Simon and Garfunkel. This large group of music only increases the quality. This was a GREAT soundtrack in my opinion. There are only a few problems as far as I can see. The first is the fact that the first ... ...in the beginning of the movie. This, however, can easily be skipped or unchecked in your iTunes. The second problem is the mood swings. It goes from happy to sad. These swings aren't too major, but are notable. Overall, it was a good buy. I'd also like to add that 16 songs is a good size for any CD, especially a Soundtrack. This soundtrack was more than worth the money that I payed for it. ...

the album cover is also an absolute spell binder with as you can see on the photo its angel (david boreanaz) about to bite buffy's (sarah michelle gellar) neck.

...has NOTHING to do with MATRIX OST, because ANIMATRIX is whole different project. Although it grounds tastily in MATRIX, this one spins around Matrix's major plot. But we got to get down to its music. :) When I saw Animatrix for the first time I was stunned by its music. As a great fan of Japanese animation and instrumental tunes I just couldn't break away from its atmospheric and carefully chosen tracks. As in The Second Renaissance sequence, where ... ...Supermoves just rock. Human bodies ripped by androids with massively fast paced breakbeat puts you there :] Opening sequence Final Flight of the Osiris, screened by Wahowski Brothers and deveopled by Square Co. with Juno Reactor's Conga Fury during the action it's just impossible not to cling to! Like in A Detective Story with Blind Tiger by Layo & Bushwacka, after seeing which, I just find their album i got it for myself:) In my opinion The Animatrix ...
