After watching the movie, which is absolutely brilliant by the way, i felt that i owed Ben Stiller enough to buy the sound track in december 2004. I thoroughly loved the songs during the film so i thought why not have them as a cd. This was a very successful purchase, as is the movie and features the following track list;

Freaky Friday was a remake in 2003 starring Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis of a classic tale of a mother and daughter magically swapping bodies for a day. It's only appropriate then that the soundtrack to go with the film is a compilation of teen rock/pop full of rebellious lyrics and powerful guitar chords. This said there are a couple of tracks which you might think huh?
The compilation has a mixture of artists such as Simple Plan and Lillix ... ...of ridiculously similar songs. The freaky Friday soundtrack is no exception and I feel the sound of music perfectly matches the tone of the film. Although I haven't listened to the film carefully I recognise a few of the tracks from in the film itself. It is often the case with soundtracks that music doesn't appear in the film at all which I always thought was a bit odd. Anyway this isn't the case here as Lindsay Lohan even contributes her main song ...

I bought this cd because I saw the film and really liked the sond 'Stand Back' by Joan Osborne and couldn't find it anywhere else.

I guess the only way to describe the cd is a 'typical' romantic comedy soundtrack - the 'uplifting' inspiring songs about going it alone and then the sad songs for when it all goes wrong! I wasn't familiar with many of the artists on the album so it isn't a cd I would automatically pick up.

...film, appears to hold a secret that everyone in the film seems to want to know. By the time you get to the end of this very long film neither the viewer nor any of the cast appear to know what this AMAZING secret is. The film is burdened by plot changes, an awful script and the general feeling that none of the cast appear to enjoy being part of the film. Add to this the terribly annoying background music, designed to add mystery to the film, and ... ...wooden that if it rained on set the actors would rot. When the camera is covered in sand (which it frequently is throughout the film, obscurring the actual scenes) it is a blessing. However the fight scenes are quite good. I never did figure out why there appears to be thousands of horses in the film and only a couple of camels though.

When I was a bit younger, I used to watch Australian kids show Hi 5 on Milkshake every morning religiously before school. It is a programme aimed at pre-school and primary school children, teaching them various things through the methods of song and dance. Naturally, there are five presenters, all of which are Australian. Okay so the education side is a bit young fo rme, but I do find the music very entertaining on the show! Now I do not have the ... ...I did buy one of their several albums. This one was Hi 5 Hits. This album is very attractive, a very colourful cover with little cartoon images of the band: Nathan Foley, Charley Delaney, Tim Harding, Kellie Crawford (then Hoggart), and Kathleen de Leon.
