A great recording of a great show Advantages: Great musical; very strong cast Disadvantages: Not the full recording; some weak voices As a show Les Misérables is flawless. It has a captivating story that keeps you hooked which is displayed in a wonderful musical. One problem often associated with musicals is the lack of originality, shows, too often, consist of two or three individual numbers with the rest of the musical being filled with reprises or slight variations. Although there are songs like this in Les Miserables it doesn't seem so bad because the variation really is different! ... ...is the same, however, because of the different moods in both of the pieces they seem different. In other occurences where the tune is re-used, enough decoration is added to the songs to make them seem original. As for this specific recording; the cast is mainly very strong. The role of Valjean is portrayed by Colm Wilkinson, the person who 'created' the role. Les Mis Advantages: Very dramatic, emotional music Disadvantages: Not everyones cup of tea ...school did a production of Les Miserables last year, i fell in love with the music, the pieces are all very dramatic and emotional and the storyline is very romantic which for me is perfect, i love the fact that the music is so sensual but it is definitely classical music with a full orchestra and very depressing (set in the time of the French revolution, death is a common theme although good triumphs in the end). A Must Have Advantages: Its a fun and exciting cd, with some great performances and toe tapping hits. Disadvantages: Some of the songs are missing ...soundtrack for the 1986 film Little Shop Of Horrors. Ellen Green as the character of Audrey really conveys the emtion that is needed for the part, and this relates well on the soundtrack. The soundtrack captures the fun and excitment of the show, with some outstanding performances from Rick Moranis and Steve Marting as the Dentist. Bloody well worth the money Advantages: Really great songs! Disadvantages: None. The Lion King is a very amazing show in the West End and this is the soundtrack which goes well with it! Amazing, and full with all the songs. phenomenal voices. The voices are powerful and strong and it is an amazing show so to be honest I think that this is well worth the money. Especially on here because it is possible to get it for so cheap! It is well worth the money, and I also personally think that you should go to London and see the show. ... ...has 20 tracks, each made primarily up of african and popular music, including seven tracks which were not included in the film upon which this show was based on. Listening to the CD, and the powerful voices send shivers up my spine when I listen to it. However, it must be said that the tracks do contain dialogue in, which could possibly give away the plotline. High Fives all round! Advantages: good mix, energetic, fun Disadvantages: / When I was a bit younger, I used to watch Australian kids show Hi 5 on Milkshake every morning religiously before school. It is a programme aimed at pre-school and primary school children, teaching them various things through the methods of song and dance. Naturally, there are five presenters, all of which are Australian. Okay so the education side is a bit young fo rme, but I do find the music very entertaining on the show! Now I do not have the ... ...I did buy one of their several albums. This one was Hi 5 Hits. This album is very attractive, a very colourful cover with little cartoon images of the band: Nathan Foley, Charley Delaney, Tim Harding, Kellie Crawford (then Hoggart), and Kathleen de Leon. It is very bright and draws your attention in for sure! Looking on the back I noticed there were a total of twenty one songs. I will let you discover the wonders of them all yourself, but to give ...
