Trevor Jones was originally hired for the job for which he wrote his arguably best known theme. After completing a lion's share of the work he was suddenly replaced by Randy Edelman whose more lightweight music provided a completely different feel to the more orchestral Jones part. Advantages: Some songs are good and have good lyrics and rhythmn and is quite cheap
Disadvantages: Some of the songs are very cheesy and not so good with rhythmn and songwriting

...cheesy which is expected of High School Musical and the franchise. It was almost the best selling album of 2007 but was beaten by Daughtry by Daughtry. To conclude this album is not something you would buy for a party unless you are a High school Musical fan or quite young (under 16 years old). ... Read review

Advantages: beautiful piano, wonderful soundtrack to the movie

Amélie is one of the most beautiful and uplifting films of recent times, and it soundtrack reflects that perfectly. This album has been on my favourites playlist since the second I heard it; certain tracks, such as Comptine d'un autre été - L'après-midi and of course the main theme, La valse d'Amélie (particularly the piano version) make my breath catch in my throat. Though it is the melancholy piano tracks that stick out for me, there's an eclectic ...
...accordion, which makes some tracks curiously joyous and makes the whole album very distinctly French - as it should be. If you love Amélie, you could not fail to love this album, as it immediately summons up the spirit of the film. WOW love this DVD cannot get enough of it. It's quite different to the first though.More dancing, BETTER dancing. I was watching this with my sister and my friends I just can't get enough of it. It's one to watch if you're either at home with friends or partner. If you like films such as Oceans eleven and thrteen then you'll love this. Though the dacing is good, wait no good is an under statement it's FABULOUS but it's got no organised story plot ...
