Advantages: Great variety: well known hits, beautiful songs and amazing covers Disadvantages: Last two songs are a fairly boring
In my opinion, if you loved the film, you will love the soundtrack! I thought the covers on this album were brilliant, such as Will Young's version of Your Love Is King, and Mary J Blige's version of Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word. Some of the songs on this album are very "mushy", but personally I see this as a bonus (let's face it, the film is pretty mushy and girly but that's what we love about it) and there are some more uplifting, upbeat ... ...by The Darkness.
The highlight of the album in my opinion, is I Eat Dinner. It is such a beautiful song and I'm so glad they included it in both the film and the soundtrack. I like the fact that the album consists of songs which have been huge hits, aswell as some great songs which most people will not have heard before, not forgtting the amazing covers.
Overall, the CD is definitely worth the money, and I would certainly recommend this soundtrack ...
Advantages: A wide variety of tunes Disadvantages: Too short
I’m a big fan of the film, so when I saw the Soundtrack on offer, I decided to buy it.
When the film was released in 1992 it caused a storm with its extreme violence. The soundtrack on the other hand doesn't seem to mirror any of that. The cover shows the film cast with blood splashed in the background, yet the CD is made up of uplifting 70's songs. Some of them now famous and well known because of the film. It's become common to include little ... ...no different. Some are main lines from the film and others are the monotone DJ from the film playing ‘K-Billy’s Super Sounds Of The Seventies’. The tracks are as follows:
1. Little Green Bag – performed by George Baker Selection- Anyone who knows the film will know this song. It’s the one that’s played during the opening credits while the cast are walking down a street in slow motion. It starts with a guitar and the shaking of a tambourine in the ...
...tune but one song in French and the other in English. This soundtrack also includes some other timeless classics that you'll probably be surprised to find yourself enjoying and humming to yourself afterwards. If you are into dance music or garage, then this probably isn't for you! But if you generally like to please your ears with music that isn't offensive and that you've heard snippets of before but never had the opportunity to listen to, then ...
Advantages: Is simply one of the best and most beautiful soundtracks out there Disadvantages: Some complain about being too gloomy listening
...harrowing movies of his career, Schindler's List. Shot completely in black and white, it told about the historical figure of Oskar Schindler, who saved 1100 Polish Jews from ending up in Hitler's concentration camps during the Third Reich's implementation of the "final solution". Adapted from the screenplay of Steve Zaillian it may very well be Spielberg's best picture yet. It went on to win seven Academy Awards in 1993 including Best Director and ... ...John Williams' approach to Schindler's List was one of restraint and profundity. Whereas Jurassic Park was filled with orchestral splendour and adventure, Schindler's List does not allow anything of the kind. The overall tone is very somber, with only a few places where sun is allowed to shine at least a little bit. In fact so somber is the tone that many with fainter hearts might get easily depressed at hearing it. The structuring of the music is ...

As you can see, there is a wonderful mix of tracks here, many of which were released as singles. There is even one there, number 5, by Billy Mack, who is actually the character in the film played by Bill Nighy! I loved this album as well as the film.
