Advantages: Hard and heavy Disadvantages: Nothing particularly outrageous or interesting going on
Southern Storm is Krisiun's 9th album, it was released in July, 2008.. yes just two months ago and it's been widely acclaimed amongst fans of the band but it was the first album of theirs that I had listened to since the 2003 album "Works of Carnage" and I didn't see much progression in a band which has been around since 1990.
In fact I was a bit disappointed, whilst they had continued to play their incredibly heavy and hard ... ...- nothing spectacular going on musically and if anything at all the album was quite a bit slower than previous releases.
The album is brutal but that's about all that it has going for it, I'm surprised people are so in love with it as I find it hard to seperate track from track and don't think that any of the work on it is particularly memorable. Overall, a disappointment for me.

In fact I was a bit disappointed, whilst they had continued to play their incredibly heavy and hard breed of brutal death metal, there was to my ears - nothing spectacular going on musically and if anything at all the album was quite a bit slower than previous releases.
