Advantages: composition, sonority Disadvantages: difficult to comprehend, musically
British veteran producer and bass virtuoso Tom Jenkinson has been the reference for the IDM/Jazz/Electronica scene for the last fifteen years.
I'm listening to his new album Just a Souvenir which is available on Bleep while it's still hot, and it's mouth watering. Jenkinson keeps cranking out estimable drum machines and basslines, this time with a traditional distortion/rock twist in tracks like Tensor in Green and Planet Gear. It even sounds like there are some virtuous improv interludes between songs. Be wary, Squarepusher has always been highly technical and somewhat difficult to understand, so I don't recommend this to sensitive ears.
The attention given to quality of sound and composition is quite appealing. Squarepusher maintains his exceptionally high standards and competence, and puts out yet another imaginative album ...
Advantages: Cheap, Clean, Airport Hotel, Courtesy Bus, Big car park Disadvantages: No Frills, Basic
General
The Russ Hill, Chatwood, is a 2 star hotel, with just over 150 rooms. It advertised in some places as a 3 star hotel, and can only be described as fast food style in a hotel. A MacHotel so to speak. We stayed here when waiting to fly out on holiday last year, and also when we returned.

The hotel is primarily catering for those going on package holidays. You can book your car in for a holiday stay also. We flew in from Belfast so did not have to avail of this service. They have lots of parking space and I got the impression that this was a major income stream for the Hotel.
There was no porter service, no lift and are room was some distance from ...
Advantages: Beautiful Disadvantages: tourists found it!
left San Pedro. Going shopping had another dimension to it, with the 7 km walk there and back. Life's rhythm had a sense of freedom to it.

But this has changed. I saw a few videos on Youtube of the recent San Pedro, I almost cried. The castle is almost completely destroyed (compared to the photo I've included), the beach is swarming with tourists, and there is even a beach bar, with a terrace! Boats everywhere, tents everywhere, but I hope that there are not bins everywhere! My paradise is now only in my souvenirs, provoked by the very few photos which I saved of it from that time, my potted bonsai Carob tree, whose seed comes from an incredible specimen in the valley of San Pedro, and especially my good Dutch friend ...
