We had booked a Superior Deluxe room at the Amari Atrium in Bangkok for 4 days in September to finish off our honeymoon. The hotel is very grand and very well decorated. Check in took no time at all and we were taken straight up to our room on the 9th Floor. The room was very spacious, the bed was huge and was decorated with rose petals, there was also a lovely honeymoon cake on arrival. The bedroom has a lovely view which backed out to the water and could see for miles. The bathroom was fab a nice spacious bath with overhead shower and the water was nice and hot with plenty of power. Each room has a safe which came in very handy for keeping passports and cash. Triump for the Atrium

Advantages: Beside restaurants, bars, amber shops, close to cathedral and beautiful hill walks
Disadvantages: no disadvantages staying at this hotel

My favourite Hotel so far in Vilnius, I have stayed 4 times, each time it gets better. First impression, dark and old. sounds bad!but the Atrium is an old traditional Hotel right in the heart of Old Town, You can sit outside the hotel and watch the people promenade up and down the Street all day. Rooms? I have stayed in 4 very different rooms at the hotel, from basic to luxury, room prices can be negotiated, We have stayed in a two floor apartment on two occasions, real luxury. Found the basic rooms too hot. "El Gaucho" the hotel argentinian restaurant, has an old cowboy style theme and cook the best steaks in Vilnius. Breakfast has improved over the last couple of years, as they are learning to cater for the english palate!! ...

Top class hotel with a stunning setting

Advantages: Beautiful location, great food, relaxed atmosphere
Disadvantages: Need to ensure you get a Danube room, although this can be pricy

The Atrium Sofitel is one of the premier hotels in Budapest. It may lack the stylish history of the Gelert, and it may have been upstaged recently by its neighbour, the Four Seasons, it nonetheless is worthy of consideration for a stay, whether for business or for pleasure, in this charming central European capital city.
